There are two ways to obtain copies of the OpenRTE code - the best one for you to use depends upon what you want to do:
- Tarballs: These are intended for use by those wanting to use OpenRTE, but not necessarily develop code. For example, this would be the best place to go if you just want to run your own applications.
- Subversion Checkout: Subversion checkouts are recommended for developers that want to work with the actual OpenRTE code base. For example, if you want to develop a new launcher or a new way of mapping resources, then this is the place for you.
